For the second time in just over a year Trustee Allan Gribbin is facing “censure” by the Kootenay Lake School Board.

Nelson Fire & Rescue Services said the cause of grass fire Sunday afternoon on Lakeside Drive near the Nelson Airport remains under investigation.
In a media release, Nelson Fire & Rescue said firefighters responded to numerous 911 calls shortly after 3 p.m. reporting a spreading fire in the grass in the 200 block of Lakeside Drive.

The Talbot Creek Wildfire, which has grown to an estimated size of 323 hectares, experienced minimal growth overnight Wednesday the BC Wildfire Service website said.
“The minimal growth occurred within control lines,” BC Wildfire Service said.
