Unfortunately, it’s something that even COVID-19 can’t stop it from happening — the Daylight Saving Time switch.
Sunday, at 2 a.m., British Columbians will fall back one hour, ending Daylight Saving Time.
The move back to Standard Time comes while the BC Government remains committed to implementing year-round Daylight Saving Time.
It’s a beautiful, sunny Halloween day today, traditionally a very exciting occasion for kids of all ages – but this year, there’s maybe more to fear than ghosts and ghoulies Covid-19 has forced us all to shake off the cobwebs and be a little more creative in ensuring the holiday is adequately eerie without be downright dangerous.
As people celebrate Halloween, Interior Health is urging the public to be cautious as BC moves through the second wave of COVID-19.
Interior Health said the rise in cases is reflected across B.C. and it is important everyone does their part to reduce the risk of further exposures in our communities.

“Today, we are reporting 272 new cases, including five epi-linked cases, for a total of 14,381 cases in British Columbia.
Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.’s provincial health officer, and Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, have issued the following joint statement regarding updates on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response in British Columbia:
“Today, we are reporting 234 new cases, including four epi-linked cases, for a total of 14,109 cases in British Columbia.
Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.’s provincial health officer, and Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, have issued the following joint statement regarding updates on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response in British Columbia:
“Today, we are reporting 234 new cases, including four epi-linked cases, for a total of 14,109 cases in British Columbia.
Regrettably, Interior Health reported its third COVID-19 relate death in the region, President and CEO Susan Brown said in a media release Wednesday.
Brown said the person was a man in his 70s.
