 My name is Gordon Zaitsoff and I'm running for mayor of Castlegar in the November 19th elections. There are many issues concerning the residents of Castlegar which I'm prepared to address:

- MEDICAL SERVICES

- TAXATION

- ROADS AND INFRASTRUCTURE

- CITY HALL ACCOUNTABILITY

- CONFLICT OF INTEREST

- SUSTAINABLE PLANNING AND GROWTH

I have been employed in the forest industry for over 30 years. It is vital to have the experience to communicate accurately with our two major employers.

I have been extremely vocal at the Regional Hospital board pressuring Interior Health and the Ministry of Health for improved services in Castlegar. A firm supporter and catalyst for the Concerned Citizens group for health care.

New ideas have to be explored for taxation models. This means reviewing the industrial taxation and fair accountability to the Castlegar residents.

I have experience in roads and grounds maintenance which would be an asset to the public works department and city employees.

I strongly believe that senior staff at city hall have to be fully accountable to the city council and residents of Castlegar.

The perception of "conflict of interest" will be measured and rectified upon any doubt.

The residents of Castlegar want to see sound planning and future considerations weighed prior to impulse decisions made.

My proven record as an electoral director will clearly benefit the transitions into a greater Castlegar area for recognized regional services.
