The Castlegar RCMP are investigating a series of unusual incidents on Pass Creek Road, Robson and in downtown Castlegar, according to RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew.

A 19-year-old Castlegar man on probation for possession of child pronography will soon be facing new charges, according to Castlegar RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew.

A "suspicious" male hitchhiking on Highway 3A Saturday evening bolted as soon as police saw him, jettisoning a clear medication bottle in his wake as he ran.

A Public Works complaint turned into a marijuana grow operation bust Sunday in the hospital area of the city.

Using some information from the complaint, police obtained a search warrant to enter the residence in the neighbourhood around Kootenay Lake Hospital where they discovered 400 plants amidst a sizable marijuana grow operation. The equipment was seized.

A convicted drug trafficker will be spending the rest of her sentence in jail after breaching the conditions of her sentence, according to police.
