An increase in water demand has forced the Regional District of Central Kootenay to put the Village of Riondel on Stage 3 Water Conservation Measures.

In a media release Monday, the RDCK said high water demand has resulted in low reservoir levels, which requires Riondel Water Users to conserve water.

Paced by Brady Augustin of the Nelson Baseball Association, who pitched all six innings, the Allstars cruised to an impressive 8-1 victory over the Medicine Hat AAA squad in the Firecracker Final.
