The enterprising young kids at Hobbit Hill have something special in store for you this afternoon, according to teacher Amanda Neuman.

“We decided as a group that we should make our very own money and then do something special with it,” Neuman said, “Like throw a party or go bowling.”

Having made the decision, the kids immediately got to work.

“We spent all day crafting necklaces and feather hair pieces, as well as various other crafts to sell,” Neuman said. “We also made blueberry muffins and Rice Krispie squares.”

Their iced tea/craft/baked goods stand is in the parking lot of Kootenay Family Place behind Chopsticks restaurant.

“We will be selling our crafts and baked goods as well as fresh homemade iced tea between 11a.m. and 2 p.m.,” she said, adding everything is by donation. “These children worked very hard putting this together. It was so fun watching them craft their little hearts out!”

Head on down right now for a delicious way to support young enterprise!
