The Castlegar RCMP are investigating a series of unusual incidents on Pass Creek Road, Robson and in downtown Castlegar, according to RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew.

“Six vehicles have been damaged in the night by someone throwing plates and cups at parked vehicles,” Mathew said. “On the morning of April 6, the first two incidents were reported, both in the 1400 block of Pass Creek Road near Castlegar.   “On the morning of April 20,  an additional four incidents were reported.  Two were also in the 1400 block of Pass Creek, one was in Robson and another in downtown Castlegar.  “It appears that these items are being thrown out of a moving car as they pass by. ” While Mathew said  the “when and where” elements of these incidents are easy enough to determine, the “why” remains a mystery. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Castlegar RCMP detachment at 250-365-7721.
