The previously-arranged show for this performer, on February 4th, had to be cancelled when weather in the form of a massive snowstorm foiled the comedian's travel plans. Many people returned tickets they had purchased -- but any tickets still out there are valid for the upcoming, re-scheduled event. Here's the scoop, courtesy of the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture:
On March 25th, Bridget Ryan will present her touring stand-up/cabaret mash-up: Here's to the Ladies Who Laugh. It’s part musical theatre, part stand-up comedy, and 100% entertaining!
Bridget is gung-ho to make up for her cancelled show, and promises to "give 'er all she's got" on the 25th!
Accompanied by pianist Jen McMillan, Bridget Ryan’s meticulously chosen musical and comedic vignettes (featuring hits of the 80’s, songs from musical comedies, ABBA, and classics from the world of Jazz) take us on a musical journey of life’s ups and downs through song. It’s inspirational, it’s identifiable, and it’s funny. Song mash-ups, song-a-logues and good old-fashioned stand-up will have audiences of all ages rolling in the aisles.
“Bridget’s cabaret brims with dazzling versatility,” hails the Edmonton Journal. “[She is] a firecracker of a performer.”
When she is not performing on stage, Bridget is Co-host of Dinner Television on CITY TV in Edmonton, and for the past six years has been voted ‘Favourite Personality’ in Vue Weekly. Bridget was also awarded Edmonton’s Consumer Choice ‘Woman of the Year’ in 2011.
Bridget Ryan will be the 4th and final performance in the RCAC's 2016-17 Comedy Series. Don't miss out!
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Out of the Cellar in Rossland, the Charles Bailey Theatre Box Office in Trail, and online at rosslandartscouncil.com/performance-series.
The show is at the Prestige Mountain Resort in Rossland. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 7:30.
