River levels to go down roughly five feet

BC Hydro would like to advise the public about changes to the discharge rates from Arrow Lakes Reservoir that will take place on Tuesday, March 31st and Wednesday, April 1st:

When combined with the outflows from the Kootenay River, Columbia River levels at Birchbank are expected to see a decrease in water levels of about 1.5 metres (5 feet) over two days from the current levels.  Please make safety your top priority when planning activities near the Columbia River.
