RCMP Cpl Jason Burndred has good news in the case of the missing person from Winlaw.

In a media release Sunday afternoon, Burndred said 16-year-old Quinlan Kruse has been found after going missing Friday.

“Quinlan Kruse has been located and is well,” Burndred said in the release.

Brundred said RCMP wanted to thank everyone for the assistance provided in this matter.

Slocan Lake RCMP request assistance in locating missing person from Winlaw

Slocan Lake RCMP is requesting public assistance to locate a missing young person from Winlaw.

RCMP Cst. Shawn Chetwynd said in a media release that 16-year-old Quinlan Kruse has been missing since Friday (January 8) from his residence in Winlaw.

“It was confirmed (Kruse) boarded public transit and got off at the MTI stop in Castlegar later that morning,” Chetwynd explained.

“Kruse is believed to be somewhere in the Kootenay area.”

Chetwynd said Kruse is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • Aged 16
  • 6 feet tall
  • 60 pounds
  • slender
  • short blonde hair
  • green eyes
  • moles on his right cheek and chin

Chetwynd said Kruse was last seen wearing a black toque, blue and grey winter jacket, blue jeans and black/tan winter boots with tan fur around the top.

“There are concerns for his well being and anyone with information on Kruse’s whereabouts are asked to contact the nearest police department,” Chetwynd said.
