West Kootenay Toy Run once again a huge success

Rob Hiscox of Blewett was one happy ticket holder when his name was called as the winner of the 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide during the West Kootenay Toy Run celebration.

Hiscox bought the winning ticket at Taghum Shell.

Joey Bella of Trail won $1000 second prize while Sherry Chrastensen of Genelle took home the $500 third place prize.

Winners of $100 were Gerry Woodhouse of Rossland, former Mayor Bill Trewhella of  Warfield, Allan Jmayoff of Christina Lake, Clint Johre of Trail and Tim Okeefe of Castlegar.

The 2014 West Kootenay Toy run was a tremendous succes with more than 400 (435 to be exact) registered motorcycles and 130 passengers.

The money raised will be donated to communities to help food banks, women’s shelters, school scholarship and many other projects.
