Enviromment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Boundary/West Kootenay.
Environment Canada said a Pacific storm is forecast to bring heavy snow to this part of the Southern Interior beginning Wednesday evening with snow continuing through Thursday before tapering off Thursday evening.
"Rapid accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some locations," Environment Canada said. "Visiblity may be suddenly reduced at times due to heavy snow."
Environment Canada said total snowfall accumulations of 30 to 40 cm are expected with this event.
