Do you think police should release the names of young offenders to the press?

Yes, but only in the case of violent offenders, and only after the offender has been convicted.

No. Kids should be given a chance to turn their lives around, without being sentenced by the court of public opinion.

food for thought

This is a very complicated issue, but I tend to choose the first variant: people have a right to know information that may impact their safety. I do not support the death penalty , I am not a vigilante type screaming "An eye for an eye." and so on. But I do have a strong sense of justice and I definitely believe that "society" has a duty to protect us from the violent, the murderous and the dangerous. The only way to do this is to have rules, laws, and penalties which apply when these laws are broken. There is simply no other option.
