Local author and former Source/Champion columnist (30-Something Scribbles) Christine Esovoloff will be in Castlegar for a book signing this Saturday.

Esovoloff is returning to the Kootenays from her current home in Kelowna to promote her most recent collaboration entitledDear Love, I’m Ready for You, and she said she’s excited to share her efforts with her home town.

“Dear Love, I’m Ready for You is a collection of stories about the power of love,” Esovoloff explains. “Not fairytale-prince-and-princess love — real-life love. The kind that challenges you, brings you to your knees, cracks you open, and pushes you to build a better version of yourself, every single day.

“This transformative love is real and messy and comes in infinite packages. Love is not only for romantics, we experience it within family, friendships, workplaces and hobbies, but where it needs the most attention is in the love for one’s self.”

Esovoloff said the book is a great starting place for personal growth and exploration around the topic of love.

“It (love) is the most potent force in the world,” she said. “When we open our hearts and are willing to be led by and work with this powerful force, miracles will happen.”

The book signing will be held at the Humble Bean downtown on Nov. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m.
