The natural swimming ponds at Castlegar’s Millennium Park are now open.

The natural ponds include a beach and three swimming areas on the Columbia River. The top pond is designed for use by youngsters and their families, the middle pond is designed for teenagers and adults, and the bottom pond has a small water slide. Each pond is surrounded by a nice sandy beach.

The city follows the Canadian Recreational Water Guidelines and regularly tests the natural ponds’ water quality and submits the results to the Interior Health Authority for review.
