Free Virtual RAFT Employment Program: May 25—June 25
In response to COVID-19, KCDS is offering our free, five-week employment program in a virtual setting! Job seekers can gain skills and connect with
others from the comfort of their own homes.
Our program offers a supportive, fun and inspiring environment focused on job readiness for the Retail, Accommodation, Food Service and Tourism (RAFT)
sectors.
Participants undertake self and career exploration; learn skills in customer service, communication and teamwork; create cover letters and resumes; and develop interview skills. Additionally, RAFT offers in-demand certifications and training:
- Foodsafe Level 1
- Serving it Right
- SuperHost
- WHMIS
- Microsoft Word
The program runs 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday. Participants will meet virtually from 9:30—11:30 a.m. and have daily assignments. We offer grocery and clothing supports and completion bonuses.
Applicants must have access to a computer, be unemployed or under-employed and not enrolled in school fulltime.
