A pilot from Merritt suffered serious injuries after a plane crash at the local airport Sunday.

RCMP said in a media release officers were led to the airport following a missing person report. When police arrived, early Monday morning, they discovered a plane wreck on the runway of the Merritt Airport.

(ICBC) by removing lawyers and legal costs from the system to reduce rates and substantially increase care benefits, making public auto insurance work for British Columbians again.

Two people have died after an MVI near Barriere, according to RCMP Cpl. Mike Halskov.

On Feb. 5 at approximately 12:10 p.m., Barriere RCMP, Clearwater RCMP, and Emergency Services responded to a fatal collision in the Darfield area on Hwy 5, north of Barriere,” Halskov said in a press release.

Surrey RCMP Special Victim’s Unit is advising the public of a sexual interference investigation which involved a private instructor who allegedly abused two former students.

Investigators believe there may be more victims in the community and are encouraging anyone with more information to come forward.
