New Flight Service from Castlegar to Vancouver Starting October 1

Starting Oct. 1, the West Kootenay Regional Airport in Castlegar is launching flight service with Central Mountain Air.

Flights will run daily to and from Vancouver, providing connections to other destinations. In Vancouver, flights will arrive and depart from the South Terminal and free taxi vouchers are available to the main terminal at Vancouver International Airport.

“We know our airport is important to the region and we’ve been working tirelessly to bring passenger service back to customers looking for travel options at the West Kootenay Regional Airport,” says Mayor of Castlegar, Bruno Tassone. “Safety will be our top priority and we’re implementing new COVID-19 health and safety measures in the terminal and on-flights to ensure the public can feel confident when traveling.”

Flights will depart Vancouver (YVR) – South Terminal at noon and arrive in Castlegar (YCG) at 1:15 p.m. They will depart Castlegar daily at 1:45 p.m., arriving in Vancouver – South Terminal at 3 p.m.

Flights are available to book immediately through your local travel agent or flycma.com. Connecting fares to major destinations across Canada will be available next week via local travel agents and large online travel agencies like Expedia, Priceline and Booking.com.
