On Jan. 28, a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer received a report of a theft of a catalytic converter from 2013 Nissan Rogue parked near the intersection of Hanna Drive and Hwy 22, in Rivervale, according to RCMP NC/oic Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.

The vehicle had been parked at the popular location as it was advertised for sale.

Trail RCMP is recommending against leaving vehicles in this area, as they are vulnerable to theft and damage.

Catalytic converters and items inside vehicles are currently the target of thieves operating in the area. Please take precautions to avoid becoming a victim, Wicentowich said.
