Traffic lights at the intersection of Hwy 22 and Rossland Avenue are in the process of being repaired today, after an MVI damaged the utility.

Trail RCMP top cop Sgt. Darren Oelke said they got a call at 8:46 p.m. on Tuesday, and attended a single-vehicle MVI.

“A semi truck was coming down Hwy 22 from the direction of Teck and lost control of his trailer, and it took out the light standard there,” he said. “The intersection has been a four-way stop since then, but I believe they’re repairing it today.”

He said the incident was caused by very slippery roads and speed relative to conditions.
