Olympic spotlight on Castlegar
A three-minute video showcasing Castlegar and her residents has been officially unvieled and will air on screens at the Vancouver International Airport throughout the 2010 Olympics.
Castlegar was one of 15 B.C. communities chosen for the project, as a way to highlight the province’s appealing and diverse offerings to the thousands of visitors expected in 2010.
As many as 80,000 people may funnel through the airport in a single day during the Olympics.
The film was made through a $10,000 grant, presented earlier this year to Castlegar Spirit of B.C. (in the person of Suzanne Lehbauer), who then hired Calgary’s Twist Marketing Firm to produce the clip.
