The family of missing 19-year-old Castlegar man Zachary Larsen has posted a $10,000 award for any information leading to the young man’s safe return.

Larsen was last seen at around 3 a.m. on June 6. There was a possible later sighting at 5 a.m. in the city’s downtown core, but police have been unable to confirm the person seen was, indeed, Larsen.   A Facebook page overseen by Larsen’s sister also has a new poster that can be dowloaded and printed, and friends and family are circulating the poster in other cities like Kelowna, Penticton, Calgary, etc.   The story has also been carried in province-wide media such as Global TV and The Province, in the hope that casting a wider net may garner new information.   Castlegar RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew said there are no new leads at this time, but police continue to investigate tips from the public.   Anyone with information is asked to contact the Castlegar RCMP department at 250-365-7721.
