Officials have ruled out the possibility of foul play as the cause of a fire at Boston Pizza Saturday that wreaked an estimated $50,000 worth of havoc.

Fire Chief Gerry Rempel said the blaze was an accident, but hasn’t yet determined exactly what sparked it.  “We responded to a fire alarm at just after 3 a.m.,” Rempel said. “Upon our arrival, smoke was found emitting from vents in the wall. Crews located the source of the fire in the upstairs office and service area.   “The cause of the fire is still under investigation.”  He said it took 17 firefighters to quell the flames, adding there were no injuries.  The restaurant will be closed for an undetermined amount of time, but Rempel said contractors have already been in the building working on the heating and electrical systems.
