All invited to meeting to determine if Castlegar needs/wants community foundation

You are invited to attend a Community Foundation information session on April 7th from 2 – 4 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Castlegar Public Library at 1005 3rd St.
Castlegar Social Planning Society is hosting this first session for Castlegar andDistrict area residents, businesses and organizations and will then step aside to allow for the next steps to occur. Barbara McMillan, Director of Regional Strategies for Community Foundations of Canada (www.cfc.fcc.ca) will be the guest speaker. It is hoped that knowledge will be gained and questions will be answered to allow Castlegar & District to consider developing its own Community Foundation. Community Foundations build permanent funds and provide grants to a wide range of organizations and initiatives which in turn will help to strengthen our community.
