Name of New Denver woman killed in single vehicle accident released

RCMP have released the name of the women killed during a single-vehicle crash on Highway 6 near Burton Monday morning.

Lisa Louise Radosh, 44, of New Denver died of injuries suffered when the 2010 Hyundai she was a passenger in left the road May 30.

“Initial investigation revealed the vehicle left the road way on the left and entered the ditch, colliding with a tree,” said Sgt. Derrick Donovan, NCO of the West Kootenay Traffic Services during the initial press release.

Nakusp RCMP, fire and rescue and BC Ambulance attended to the crash scene around 11 a.m. Monday morning near Burton, 30 kilometres southwest of Nakusp.

The driver — a 41-year-old female — suffered serious injuries. The driver was initially transported to the Nakusp Hospital and later air lifted to the Kelowna General Hospital.

The West Kootenay Traffic Services Unit is assisting Nakusp RCMP with the ongoing investigation.
