Rural Transcapes - A documentary

This topical film profiles four transgender folks who have chosen to live in the Kootenays. The movie will be followed by a panel discussion.
The documentary will take you into the lives of a group of trans-gendered folks who have chosen to live in a rural community as they seek medical support, navigate issues of safety, gain employment, begin a family, and create a place to call home.
The film also features Dr. Chris Cochrane and Dr. Esta Porter, two medical professionals based in Nelson who work directly with the trans-gendere community.
