Two suspects in custody, RCMP on lookout for two others after report of kidnapping

Prince George RCMP arrested two males after a report of a kidnapping Sunday in the Northern Interior City.

During the evening of Sunday April 15th, RCMP received a report of kidnapping and assault in a rural area east of Prince George.

A number of RCMP officers attended the Ferndale area and located an adult male victim suffering from serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The man was transported by the BC Ambulance Service to the University Hospital of Northern BC for treatment.

It is believed that the victim was being held for a number of days in a residence in the rural community.

The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Section was called into assist with the investigation.

Officers attended the residence located on Upper Fraser Road and arrested a 32-year-old male without incident.

While searching the residence for other suspects and victims, a small marihuana grow operation was located along with stolen property. Search warrants were obtained.

A second suspect, a 35-year-old adult male, was arrested without incident on Monday, April 16th at approximately noon.
