UPDATE: Missing Morgan Durocher located in North Okanagan

A Nelson mother is over the moon with joy after RCMP in the North Okanagan called to say daughter, Morgan Durocher, has been found.

“The RCMP called me a half-an-hour ago,” a relieved Erin Droucher told The Nelson Daily Thursday morning. “They said they found her in Enderby.”

It’s been 10 days since Nelson’s Morgan Durocher walked away from her foster home in Warfield.

The Durocher family contacted police after the 14-year-old L.V. Rogers student went missing the night of July 30.

Facebook exchanges had a woman inform the Durocher family she picked up a girl fitting the description of Morgan along with a male friend near Salmo, driving the pair to Castlegar.

The duo said they were en route to the Okanagan, possible heading to the Vernon area.

“I’m so relieved,” Erin Durocher said.

RCMP did not say when Morgan Durocher would be returning to the West Kootenay.

Erin Durocher was just happy for the good news after more than a week of many sleepless nights.

“I’m just so happy (Morgan) was found,” she said.

UPDATE: Missing Nelson girl possibly heading to Vernon

It’s been almost 10 days and there have been no reported sightings in the case of missing Nelson teen, Morgan Durocher.

However, the The Nelson Daily has learned the missing 14-year-old may possibly be heading to Vernon with a friend, Jarod.

The two received a ride from a woman on July 31 in Salmo. The woman drove the pair to Castlegar. During the drive, the kids indicated to the woman they were heading to the Vernon area.

It was on (Monday) July 30 that Durocher walked away from her Foster Home in Warfield.

Trail RCMP have no reason at this time to believe Durocher has come to any harm however, due to her age, active attempts are being made to locate her as soon as possible.

Durocher is described as, 14 years old, 5-foot, five inches (165 cm) tall, 101 pounds (46 kg) with long brown hair and green eyes and wears horizontal bar braces on her teeth
 
Anyone locat Durocher is asked not approach her but contact the local Police Department or RCMP Detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Public’s assistance needed to find missing Nelson girl

A Nelson mother, frantic to find her daughter, Morgan Durocher, is asking for the public’s assistance.

Morgan Durocher, 14, was last seen in Trail late Monday (July 30).

Durocher is 5’5, 110 pounds with brown hair, blue/green eyes and a small nose piercing and tattoo on her ankle.

The L.V. Rogers student was last seen wearing black pants and brown tank top.

She was living with her foster mother in Trail area at the time of her disappearance.
