Trail woman missing
A 72-year-old Trail woman is missing, according to Abbotsford RCMP.
“Diana Noreen Latondress, a 72 year old woman from Trail, was visiting friends and family on Vancouver Island and in the Lower Mainland over the past two weeks,” said Const. Ian MacDonald in a press release this afternoon. “On the evening of Sept. 9, she stopped at a friend’s home in Abbotsford. She left at 10 p.m. and indicated that she would overnight at an Abbotsford hotel before making the return trip to Trail.
“That trip should take six or seven hours,” he added. “When Latondress had not made it home by the early hours of Sept. 11, the Abbotsford Police Department was contacted.”
He said local hotels, motels, hospitals and the border have all been checked without sign of her. She is travelling in a 2005 blue Dodge Caravan with her dog “Inga”. She is 5’10” and was last seen wearing a jean jacket, jeans and beige shoes.
“Amplifying the concern is that she has a heart condition that requires medication,” he said, urging anyone who sees her to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
