RCMP investigate torched vehicle north of Salmo

RCMP is asking for help from the public after a 4X4 vehicle was destroyed by fire last week Kapak Road, approximately 20 kilometers north of Salmo.

The incident happened on the night of (Tuesday) November 6 and the morning of (Wednesday) November 7.

The driver of the 2001 Red Mazda 4X4 had been cutting wood in the popular firewood spot and decided to leave the vehicle unattended overnight.

When the man returned the next day the vehicle had been burned and completely destroyed.   

RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in this investigation and would like to talk with any citizens who have been in the area recently or speak with anyone having knowledge of this incident.
