Chilliwack, BC: Police are now releasing a sketch of a man possibly responsible for an attempted attack on two woman hikers on the Tea Pot Hill trail on Columbia Valley Road on February 24, 2013. Two women were running on the trail when they encountered a man. The man approached the women from behind and tried to grab one of them, however, she was able to get away. The man was described as being in his 20’s and was wearing dark clothing. He was also described as being scruffy in appearance.

“In these types of investigations the police rely on the public for assistance,” says Corporal Tammy Hollingsworth. “This incident is very concerning to us and we are hoping the community can help us with identifying the man in the sketch to further our investigation.”

It’s important to remember all composite sketches are an artistic interpretation made based on witness statements to produce a likeness of a suspect for identification. In most cases there may be certain characteristics that may not exactly be the true likeness of the suspect involved, but may be similar in nature.

Anyone that can identify this man or has any other information is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
