Police impersonator, times three, in Chase

A want-to-be police officer is making the rounds in Chase, RCMP reported Thursday.
Chase RCMP has confirmed that a third incident of a police impersonator occurred on (Friday) August 30 in the North Shuswap area.
A vehicle of similar description to the two previous and recent similar incidents is suspect again.
The Chase RCMP received a report from a North Shuswap area couple between 3-4 p.m., as they drove eastbound on Squilax-Anglemont Road near Roderick Haig Brown Provincial Park on the North Shuswap, they were followed by a small black car that had flashing red and blue lights in the windshield.
The couple did not stop for this vehicle, and they continued on their route towards their home.
At one point the couple turned off the main road and noted that the small black car continued eastbound.
The vehicle speeds remained normal for the road, and there was no pursuit nor high speeds involved.
The couple did not get a description of the driver, but believe the driver was alone in the vehicle. The RCMP was able to confirm once again that there were no police officers working in that area at the time of the incident.
