RCMP ask for public assistance in locating stolen sailboat

RCMP say an owner’s sailboat sailed away sometime between Friday (November 1) and Tuesday (November 5).
The 25-foot Cal25 sailboat, riding on a grey galvanized Highlander boat
trailer with a BC licence plate of 998684, went missing between Friday at 4 p.m. to Tuesday at 2 p.m. from a private residences in the 12 Mile area north of Nelson on Highway 3A.
The sailboat has a white hull and yellow/brown upper portion. The boat also has an identifying item of the is that it does have a hole drilled in the hull to drain water that was trapped inside.
Police urge anyone with information regarding this matter to call Cst. Van Horne at the Nelson RCMP at 250-352-2156 or Crimestoppers.
