Busy week for Trail RCMP

Trail police have been very busy of late with a stolen vehicle and grow-up bust, according to RCMP Cpl. Darryl Orr.

“On Feb. 11, Trail & Greater District RCMP members responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at the Red Mountain Ski Hill in Rossland,” Orr said. “The owner of the vehicle had returned to the parking lot after a day of skiing and his vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle is a red 1985 Toyota pick up bearing BC Licence plate KB 2134. This vehicle has not been located as of this date.”

Less than a week later, he said. was a significant grow-up bust resulting in two arrests.

“On Feb. 17, Trail & Greater District RCMP members executed a search warrant issued under the Controlled Drugs and Subtances Act at a residence located on Daniel Street in Trail. 590 Marihuana plants in various stages of
growth were seized from the residence. Two adults were arrested at scene and charges of Production of Marihuana and Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking will be recommended.”
