Nominate someone kind for Castlegar's new Good Samaritan Award

The City of Castlegar would like to acknowledge individuals that perform public service acts in the community. We want to thank and acknowledge those citizens who take the time to care for the city and its citizens and who take pride in calling Castlegar their home.

The City of Castlegar Good Samaritan Award is about acknowledging individuals who generously perform kind gestures or random acts of kindness that improve the community’s appearance and/or assist another community member. Acts of kindness could include helping a senior or person with a disability with bringing their garbage to the curb, assisting someone in distress or volunteering.

The City of Castlegar would like to hear from you about a Castlegar resident who does good deed(s). Submit a letter or email to us explaining why you are nominating your Good Samaritan. At the end of November, all Good Samaritan nominees will be entered in a draw for $250. To be eligible, the Good Samaritan must be a resident of Castlegar. Deadline for receiving nominations is November 30, 2016. Draw date will be December 5, 2016.

Your letter or email should include your name as well as the Good Samaritan’s name, phone number and mailing address. All nominations will be published in the local media and on the City’s website.
