Castlegar issues water advisory
Due to the spring freshet (runoff), water turbidity (cloudiness) has exceeded recommended levels in the Castlegar Water System which the City is closely monitoring.
Interior Health and the City recommend that children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems and anyone seeking additional protection drink boiled water (brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute) or a safe alternative such as bottled water.
The City will advise the public when the Water Quality Advisory is removed.
THIS WATER QUALITY NOTICE IS EFFECTIVE from 3:30pm May 14, 2018 and will be
IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
