The City of Castlegar has rescinded the water advisory that has been in place since May 14, according to a press release issued today.

The reason for the advisory was that, due to the spring freshet (runoff), water turbidity (cloudiness) had exceeded recommended levels, but that is no longer an issue.

“The water distribution system has been completely flushed, turbidity levels have normalized,” reads the press release.

“With direction from the Interior Health Authority, the City of Castlegar is rescinding the May 14, 2017 Water Quality Advisory.

“The City apologizes for any inconvenience.”
