Toddler alright after being struck by vehicle in Castlegar parking lot

A toddler is lucky to be okay after being struck by a vehicle in the Dollarama parking lot Sunday, according to Castlegar top cop Sgt. Monty Taylor.
He said the call came in just after 2 p.m. in response to a driver in a red SUV, who struck a three-year-old girl who apparently walked in front of the vehicle accidentally.
“She was transported to hospital as a precaution,” Taylor said, adding it was very lucky the vehicle was travelling at slow speeds.
He said no violation ticket was issued as a result of the incident.
