You can also participate by voting on your favourite photos – the Readers’ Choice will be featured as our Facebook cover photo for that week.

“I think a lot of people are feeling helpless right now,” saidSource editor Kyra Hoggan. “This gives everyone a chance to turn their thoughts to more positive things and have some productive fun.

“I’d also be remiss not to mention Castlegar Safeway manager Brad Kristian,” she added. “Despite being buried in an avalanche of COVID-19 changes, he enthusiastically agreed to provide the contest prizes, and loved the idea of the community getting together – from afar.”

To limit contact, the winners will be announced on Facebook and our website, and their cards will be available to them to pick up at Safeway, rather than through The Source.

Please take care, when nearing people, to stay outside the six-foot radius ordered by health officials. Do not pet anyone’s dog, nor let anyone pet yours. Wash or disinfect your hands frequently, and try to avoid touching your face, or areas other people touch (door handles, etc).
