Columbia River levels to rise by roughly 2.5 feet Friday
BC Hydro is advising the public of changes to the discharge rates from Arrow Lakes Reservoir that will take place on Friday, Sept. 4:

When combined with the outflows from the Kootenay River, Columbia River levels at Birchbank are expected to see an increase in water levels of about 0.77 metres (2.5 feet) from the current levels. Please make safety your top priority when planning activities near the Columbia River.
