Trail RCMP are having to educate certain members of the public that there is a time and place to engage in oral sex – and it is not on a public thoroughfare.

Trail RCMP top cop Sgt. Mike Wicentowich said an incident Friday forced police to address the issue.

“On Dec. 4, at 3:01 p.m., Trail and Greater District RCMP received a report of an indecent act that had occurred approximately two hours earlier, between a young adult man and a yet-to-be-identified woman inside a passenger car parked along Rossland Avenue in Trail,” Wicentowich said. “A front line RCMP officer identified, located and spoke to the man who was allegedly involved.”

Wicentowich said a resident witnessed this incident and mentioned it to someone else, expressing concern that it happened near a bus stop, thus near buses from which children were disembarking. The second person promptly notified police.

“The Trail RCMP would like to speak to an unidentified witness to this incident and any other witnesses who have not yet spoken to police. Witnesses, or anyone with any information can contact the Trail RCMP at 250-368-2566 to speak to the investigating officer.”
