BC Hydro announces Arrow Lakes Reservoir flow changes

BC Hydro would like to notify the public that the discharge rates from Arrow Lakes Reservoir will decrease noticeably on Saturday, February 5:
• At 7:00 a.m., flows will decrease from 1,699 m3/s to 1,557 m3/s.
• At 8:00 a.m., flows will decrease from 1,557 m3/s to 1,415 m3/s.
When combined with the outflows from the Kootenay River, Columbia River levels at Birchbank are expected to decrease by 0.55 metres (1.8 feet). Please make safety your top priority when planning activities near the Columbia River.
