Nelson SAR hosts Inter-regional Search, Rescue Training Exercise at Kokanee Creek Park

Nelson Search and Rescue is hosting a large inter-regional SAR exercise at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park approximately 20 kilometers north of the Heritage City on Highway 3A on Saturday, September 16.

There will be more than 100 SAR members from all over the southeast and central regions of BC for workshops and training exercises beginning Friday and through to Sunday.

Training includes Swiftwater rescue, rope rescue, tracking, helicopter hover exit, medical and survival.

Workshops open for viewing by the public are on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
