On June 30, 2025, at 9:28 a.m. a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer received a report about a damage to a vehicle stored at a business, in Genelle, BC.

A 50-year-old Calgary woman reported to an officer that the windows to her vehicle were smashed overnight while it was securely stored on the business property.

An officer investigated the incident. When the officer contacted the business, he learnt that the woman had allegedly threatened to break into the business and her own vehicle after not being allowed to retrieve an item from the vehicle afterhours.

A review of the security video footage allegedly revealed the woman climbing a fence onto the property, breaking all the windows of her vehicle, and retrieving an item from inside before leaving.

When spoken to about the video footage by the officer, the woman declined to proceed further with the investigation.

The officer discovered the woman had glazed over the truth when her story shattered into pieces. Let’s hope she looks into the window of her soul and learns through the pane of this experience. At least no one was framed in this crime, says Sgt. Wicentowich.
