Structure fire destroys building

Fourteen Kootenay Boundary Region Fire Rescue members responded to a structure fire on Aug. 21, in the 8400 Block of Hwy 22A.
The call was received at 3:18 p.m. and fire crews were on scene by 3:26 p.m., getting the fire under control by4:47 p.m. The fire was fully involved when crews arrived on scene, forcing them to take a defensive posture to protect exposures.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by KBRFR.
