K.A.A.P's Cocktail Puppies need forever home
These five beautiful puppies came to KAAP with their mama (Shai, included in photos and will be available for adoption after her spay) when they were just a few days old. They were homeless and rescued from -40 degrees in the dead of winter. They are truly just delightful, all of them. Shai is a medium sized Shepherd (?) mix. We really don’t know. And nor do we know who any of the dads were of the puppies, although it’s more obvious in some than others. They are on track to be bigger dogs, and not “apartment” sized. They will need lots of time, patience, love, training, and experiences to grow into their best selves and they will be just amazing best buddies for you. Another dog in the home to help show them the ropes would be fabulous too, if you’re looking for a second dog.
Porter – funniest little (well biggest LOL) guy who just loves to play, loves tug of war, and loves to be held and snuggle. He is often off on his own seeing what he can get into and he has the biggest heart melting eyes when he looks at you.
Margarita – she’s the reason the puppies are named after cocktails. Right from the start, she has been the life of the party and wants to just see and experience everything. She’s getting the neatest markings with the brindle of her mom coming out on her ears and legs. She’s just plain fun.
Whiskey – this is the guy who is just easy going, so darn sweet he’ll melt your heart when he looks right into your eyes with sheer adoration. He’s a super snuggler too.
Kahlua – stunning puppy with her mix of brown and black and every day she just gets prettier. She’s the first one to come running when foster mom yells “puppies!”. She loves pouncing on her siblings and being part of everything that is happening
Bailey – the smallest (not by much), and most darling little girl ever. She’s definitely the follower of the group, never wants to be left out of things with her ruff and tumble siblings, but is also happy to have all the human attention on her. She just gets prettier by the day too, with all her swirling colors.
Adoption Details: The adoption fee is $400 which includes: Vet check, first vaccination, deworming, spay/neuter (required before six months of age as part of the adoption contract – non-negotiable) and a microchip. Rabies vaccine and booster shots will be the responsibility of the adopter.
KAAP adoptions include a reference check and home visit to make sure our pups are placed in safe, loving, and well-matched homes. Please note that adoptions are not first come, first served—we reserve the right to select the applicant we feel is the best fit for each puppy. Applications will only be accepted from the West Kootenay region at this time.
