Evacuation Orders have been issued for 100 Mile House region by the Cariboo Regional District
An Evacuation Order has been issued by the Cariboo Regional District in several areas. For your own safety, 100 Mile House RCMP asks that people stay away from the evacuation areas until you are notified that it is safe to return.
100 Mile House RCMP Detachment Commander S/Sgt. Svend Neilsen states, We are asking everyone to gather necessary items and head immediately to the evacuation route closest to your residence. Please follow directions from officers and other emergency personnel who are assisting in the evacuation of impacted areas. Drive safely as roadways may be obstructed by smoke.

This Evacuation Order is for 482 parcels in the Canim Lake S to Mahood Lake Area. This order covers 26,395 hectares.
Due to immediate danger to life safety due to fire, members of the RCMP or other groups will be expediting this action.
The evacuation route is:
- Mahood Lake Road West to Canim Lake South Road,
- West to Canim-Hendrix Lake Road,
- West to Highway 97,

Effective immediately, the Cariboo Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for 1074 properties in Flat Lake to Green Lake N. This alert covers 56,970 hectares.
Due to immediate danger, members of the RCMP or other groups will be expediting this action.
The evacuation route is:
- Highway 97 North
- Little Green Lake Road to North Bonaparte Road to Highway 24, West to Highway 97 North to 100 Mile House
- Watch Lake Road North to Highway 24 West to Highway 97 North to 100 Mile House
An Evacuation Alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises or property should it be required. All evacuees should register online or at an evacuation centre or call 1-800-585-9559. People can also register with Canada Red Cross.
