Police are requesting public assistance after a brazen car theft.

“On Aug. 24 at roughly 5:20 p.m, police responded to the Toyota Dealership in regards to a vehicle that was stolen in broad daylight off of their lot,” said Castlegar RCMP Cpl. Debbie Postnikoff.

“The vehicle was in the process of getting washed before the day’s end (and was briefly left unattended) when the vehicle was driven off the lot by a male described as having a blonde, curly mullet.”

The vehicle is a 2002 bright red Toyota Celica with white decals and a spoiler, bearing B.C. licence plate 612 NCB.

Anyone with any information regarding the theft is asked to contact the Castlegar RCMP detachment at 250-365-7721.
