Car crash update
Both victims of a serious car crash on Frank Beinder Way (leading into the Castlegar Selkirk College campus) Nov. 26 are recovering from serious injuries, according to police.
RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew said one of the drivers suffered a fractured leg and shattered pelvis, and was taken to hospital in Vancouver, while the other suffered injuries to both ankles as well as a fractured pelvis.
She said the investigation is not complete, but, “it appears (one of the drivers) was fish-tailing and did not have control of the car, crossing over the centre line,” she said.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Police have not yet determined what, if any, charges will be appropriate.
