RCMP: Cars and Christmas "spirits" don't mix

Castlegar RCMP are reminding residents that Christmas “spirits” and cars don’t mix.
Police believe alcohol was a contributing factor in a car accident that happened Dec. 8 at roughly 2:20 a.m., when a driver missed the turn-off and drove directly up a flight of outdoor stairs on 11th Avenue before crashing, said Sgt. Laurel Mathew.
“The 35-year-old male was taken to hospital with minor injuries,” she said.
The investigation continues.
